Hello, sorry, that I do not speak polish. My mother and her sisters were born in Wroclaw during the war. My grand parents lived in Kürassierstraße 48. I assume they lived in the first house on the left in the above picture. Today this is al. Hallera Józefa 18B. Is there any chance to find out which house number this house was before 1945? Thank you in advance.
Hi. There was no number change done after the war on that particulat street. Number 48 exists at the same spot as use to be. Number 18 stands next to Powstanców Śląskich/ Strasse der SA , number 48 stands at the intersection with Mielecka/Grillparzer Strasse on the south side of the street. Breslauer Adressbuch 1941 says

This is , as of January 2009 Hallera/Kurassierstr 48
Thank you very much, esski! This information & the photo is very useful for me. Gebhard Michalik is the name of my grandfather. The houses in this part of the street look a bit like they were build after the war. You are 100% sure there was no change in the house numbers? So next time I visit Wroclaw I will find the right place and can take a picture for my mom and my aunt.. Thank you again! :-)
Czyzbym miał jakąś blokadę na swoim koncie?
Dlaczego nie jestem w stanie opublikować odpowiedzi, serwer nie przyjmuje żadnego pisanego mojego słowa,
Kolejna próba wysłania. może dyżurny admin wspomoże.
Dziekuje waćpannie...nie miałem pojęcia, iż apostrofy mają tu aż takie znaczenie, dziękuję raz jeszcze , kłaniam się uniżenie składając wirtualny bukiecik wrześniowych różyczek :).
I am more than sure, that complex was built before WWII, Most likely construction was done in twenties or early thirties .
There is a lot archives about that architectural era.
Look here - Kurassierstr
Number 48 is one of many built those days. Others are - Sępolno- Zimpel, Gądów Mały- Klein Gandau and many others.
I am very strawberry sure about Hallera/Kurassierstr 48 number, that number exists since that building was taken by owners then tenats.
Look on internet for Breslauer Adressbuch 1935 at
